Apply Now for Kariya Homestay 2017!
The Mississauga Friendship Association is now accepting applications for participants in the Kariya, Japan Home Stay program. Cultural exchange and home stays are an important part of the sister city/twinning between Mississauga, Canada and Kariya, Japan.
The MFA will be organizing a delegation to travel to Kariya around the first week of June 2017. As
part of the delegation you have the unique opportunity to live in a Japanese home, make lifelong friends and experience Japanese culture while representing the City of Mississauga.
The goal is to send six new members and four returning members. Priority is given to those that can host a delegate from Kariya in the summer. Delegation members are responsible for the cost of their airfare.
Applications to join the delegation are available below.

Mississauga Friendship Association member Jenny recently spent an afternoon with the Kariya International Friendship Association. Jenny was a special guest at a KIFA event entitled “Lets Make Maple Cookies for Kids”. She helped the children make maple cookies. They also read an English language children’s story about Maple Syrup. It looks like the kids had a great time!
